I am people person, I listen well and love being social. EARTH FLORIDA PAGEANTS

Hi Marci... This is the info for the MISS delegate selection.
If you are interested in becoming the Florida's delegate for the Miss Earth United States pageants, please let me know. There will be a casting at the beginning of March to select the winner. She will then travel to Las Vegas to compete for the chance to become Miss Earth United States and travel to Phillipines to represent the nation among other 80-something delegates from around the world.
********NOTE: Florida's delegate will have to provide her own wardrobe (gown and interview outfit only) and airfare to national pageant. Meals, accommodation, transportation, sash, crown and coaching will be provided, as well as swimsuits, opening number outfits and beauty products.
Miss Earth United States is scheduled for July 19 through 22 in Primm Valley, Nevada. Make sure you have these days available to travel and you have time to rehearse with us during the next few months before the pageant (in MIAMI)
Please make sure you meet ALL requirements before you show interest. I will make a preliminary list and then let you know of date and place of casting. Include your e-mail address in your communications.
For the casting, you will need:
- 2 photos of yourself (no need to be professional) FACE AND BODY
- Swimsuit of your choice
- Cocktail or long dress (either one)
- 1 minute speech about yourself
- Be prepared to answer questions about yourself and your basic knowledge of global warming (no need to be an expert - just show that you have general information about it). We will have 5 judges.
-$50 fee
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age and not older than 26 on the date of Miss Earth(Nov 2009)
A minimum height of 5'5" ( we will check this ourselves)
A US Citizen
Possess or will possess a US Passport by August 2009 and be available to travel to Philippines if you win the nationals
Must be willing and able to travel to the UNITED STATES EARTH PAGEANT in July 2009 for a minimum of one week prior to the coronation night. Remember, the airfare is on you.
Must not be married, never have been married, and never had a marriage annulled
Must never have given birth to a child, be pregnant or be a parent
Must be of good health and moral character
Must be a naturally born female
Must be willing to actively advocate and educate for the preservation and protection of the environment
Must represent themselves, the pageant and the slogan "Beauties for a Cause" with integrity and mutual respect with the emphasis on professionalism

Miss Earth is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness.
Along with Miss Universe and Miss World contests, Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitors to participate in the world finals.
The reigning titleholders dedicate their year to promote environmental projects and to address issues concerning the environment.
The pageant has been held in the Philippines every year since 2001.
The Miss Earth pageant is primarily looking for young women who are poised, classy, smart and beautiful and will stand for the protection and preservation of the planet. These women are pageant winners or chosen by national Miss Earth directors from different nations.
The Miss Earth crown is made up of sterling silver while clear Swarovski and pearls compose the embellishments. Red and blue Swarovski pearls are additional ornaments.
Starting 2008, Miss Earth winners are bestowed with a special set of jewelry designed and created by Ramona Haar Fine Jewelry, a Florida-based jeweler showcasing Filipino craftsmanship. The jewelry for Miss Earth 2008 winner is amounting to US$ 25,000, while Miss Earth-Fire, Miss Earth-Water and Miss Earth-Air are amounting to US$ 10,000 each set.
Miss Earth UNITED STATES chooses the representative of this nation for the Miss Earth pageant in Philippines. Earth FLORIDA pageants choose the delegates who will represent the sunshine state in Miss Earth United States and that is who we are :-).
Whoever we choose as Miss Earth Florida, will travel to Primm Valley, Nevada on July 12, 2009 and spend a week with all expenses paid competing for the title of Miss Earth United States!
