My favorite photographer is Duane Michals... so that should give you an idea of what I'm into....
I've been doing black and white photography for a couple of years in Massachusetts. I've recently moved to Montreal, QC, where I'm attending Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. Next year, I will also be majoring in abnormal psychology and human sexuality.
Most of my photography work doesn't include people, so unfortunately I can't post it here; however, my films do, and since the work is often conceptual, I don't always look for actors as much as I do for models.
Currently, I'm looking working on a 16mm film involving bodyscapes and 35mm slides, 16mm film, drawings, and tissue morgue slides projected unto the bodies as well.
You can e-mail me in either English, Russian, Romanian, and I also speak a little bit of French and German... but the former three are preferable.
Also, I'm sorry for the quality of the work. They're actually large prints which were rephotographed with a crappy digital camera. They're also my earliest works, so you're just seeing the stuff that I did when I was merely beginning.. I've done work since then, but I don't have digital pictures of it...
Lastly, the avatar photo was not taken by me, but it is of me (I'm quite shy and I never let people photograph me, however a friend of mine managed to sneak in a shot... )
The work with the models I guess is more 'posed' than the rest, but none of it is planned posing. It's all impromptu letting the model what what they want and I just find the shots. Everything else is a mix of people I know and strangers, which isn't staged in the slightest. The only thing decided when I'm meeting a model is where we're meeting, we just go from there. It's not all 'street' but it's pretty close while allowing to arrange who I'm shooting. -f

Glad to see that someone out here pays attention to detail. The bright eye sockets on the skull were not intended to amuse anyone but... things always mean something different to different people. I do appreciate your taking the time to comment on the image though. You do good and interesting work yourself, and hope that this new year will bring tons of inspiration your way. Don't be shy with the camera! It is SAFE to be in front of it from time to time. People you work with will tend to imitate your easiness in front of the lens as well. There are six self shots on my MM page just to show the 'models' how some things can be done, but please don't tell anyone, people need NOT to know IT :) Stay focused in all you do, stay creative! Keep on shooting!
