He has taken part in Toronto’s L’Oréal Fashion week, F.A.T. fashion show (Fashion Art Toronto) and is currently the director of hair for the well-known Canadian designer, Bruno Ierullo (
www.brunoierullo.com). Matthew values giving back to the community and enjoys volunteering for charities such as Sick Kids’, Scissors in Motion, Redken’s One-X-One cut-a-thon and the Parkinson’s cut-a-thon.
Matthew meets his clients expectations by providing them with a cut that will continue to hold its shape even after being washed. Regardless of the style or hair type, hair should always be elegant. Rather than simply cutting hair, Matthew treats each head as if it were a sculpture. He respects and listens to his clients by adhering to their specific requests. For example, if a client requests a 1-inch trim, that is exactly what they will receive. Matthew takes his time to educate his clients on how to take care of their hair naturally, with minimal use of products.
