About Me

With a mother who majored in Graphic Arts while dabbling with a little photography and a father who operated a business for over 30 years, it was only natural that their business-savvy minded daughter wanted to create art through a camera lens.

Creating an accurate camera angle was not strange to Denieze Anderson at the age of 8. At the time Denieze knew how and where to capture a shot depending on the position of the sun. As years passed, photography basics came as a natural instinct to her. Denieze soon began using relatives as 'guinea pigs' every chance she got.

In 2008, whilst everyone craved for the stylish Apple iPhone for its smart features, Denieze used hers as a camera. The iPhone's capture quality was soon discovered on a rainy day experiment with a friend behind her school cafeteria. Upon editing the photos, the D. Andy Photography watermark was created. Little did the iPhone know that this was only the beginning; It soon became her trusty sidekick, better yet, the main star of her photoshoots. Being requested occasionally, the new name for 'guinea pigs' became clients. This is when Denieze realized a professional camera was a great necessity. Much to the iPhone's relief, it became just a smartphone again after she convinced her father to purchase a Canon Powershot S5 IS with promises of repaying him.

When the blossoming Mandeville based model agency, Ishia, contacted Denieze to shoot for them, not only did this foot the bill for her camera, it also gave her the oppurtunity to be noticed. News of her themed photoshoots began to spread in the small town. Soon she was booked by singer Denyque Dontre, Northern Caribbean University and Sterling Collections for her high end shots.

"Its not just taking a picture, its capturing art" isn't just the 19-year old's motivation, but the slogan for her recently opened D. Andy Photography Studio located in Mandeville, Manchester.

What started out as an iPhone experiment is now a photos studio with a difference, this 19-year old entrepreneur will stop at nothing to accomplish her dreams of capturing art through her lens.
