Area 51 is a two man business...me and my assistant, Emma. She answers all questions, responds to messages and emails, and books the shoots.

Let's get down to business!

*Rates
My rates start off at $50 an hour with a one hour minimum and can change without notice. My rates vary depending on type of shoot (i.e. nudes, etc.) and if I have to travel farther than a certain point that we can discuss. I require a $25 deposit (cash or check) upon scheduling a shoot. If you need to cancel for whatever reason, and I don’t receive a 24 hour cancelation notice, then I keep the deposit.

*I offer:
---Hair and Makeup…$30 (one look)
                            $50 (two looks)
If you are going to have more than three looks, prices will vary. Hair and makeup prices can vary according to the look that is desired.

---Wardrobe/Props…Prices vary according to outfit or prop desired. We will discuss this before the photo shoot and let you know the prices through email or phone.

---Photoshop/editing
I will automatically choose 10 of the best pictures from the shoot and edit those. You will get those when you get the rest of the photos on a DVD in the mail or through Email. However, if you would like more photos to be edited I will charge a fee of $20 for 10 photos.

*I have a few expectations of models that I work with. I just expect professionalism at every shoot because I take photography seriously and hope you take your modeling seriously too.
---I start billing at “Start Time” (the time that we have agreed to meet at…not when your hair and makeup is done unless you are having my MUAs do it). I set up quickly and get to a set early so I am ready to go when you arrive. I hope you do the same. Both our time is very precious so let’s utilize every second!

---I recommend bringing an escort because I want you to be comfortable and relaxed while shooting. If you are uncomfortable or nervous it will show in the photos and we both want a successful shoot. I don’t want you to pay for pictures that you are not satisfied with. Please note though that bringing your entourage is highly discouraged due to the distraction they make for you and myself (especially if we are in a public area). I don’t mind if your escort makes a few helpful tips during the shoot but I don’t appreciate full length conversations happening in the middle of shooting.

---I will not transport any model…no exceptions!

---As of now I am not a full time photographer. I am in school and I work part time. Getting your photos to you in a timely manner is important to me and I never take longer than two weeks. I carefully select the ten best pictures from each shoot, edit them, and put them on a DVD for you. I will notify you when I send them so you’re aware they’re on their way. Please do not email, call, text, message me on MM, or anything after three days when you haven’t received the pictures yet. They’re going to come, I promise. Also please allow for a few extra days when it comes to editing green screen shots.

---Please read the contract thoroughly. Everything is explained in there. If you have questions, I’d be more than happy to answer anything you’re unsure about.

*TF work
TF work means trade for. There is not payment.  We both get more experience and good pictures out of it. With TF work you must provide your own wardrobe, hair, and makeup unless we arrange something prior to the day of shooting. Models shooting TF will only receive edited pictures. This means I will pick between five to ten images and edit them for you. Models that pay receive all the photos as well as edited. Please do not ask if I send raw images because I will not.

*FAQs
1. How old do I have to be to shoot?
You must be 18 years or older to shoot and have a photo ID the day of the shoot

2. Do I have to be a professional model to shoot with you?
Nope! This can be your first shoot or your 100th. By the end of the shoot I’ll have made you an experienced model. Also my assistants are experienced models and will be more than happy to help guide you through the shoot or give you tips and pointers.

3. What if I have to reschedule?
No problem. I’d be more than happy to reschedule for you as long as you give me a 24 hour notice. If you do not give me the 24 hour notice you will not receive your deposit back. If you do let me know you need to reschedule the shoot 24 hours in advance than I keep the deposit until the shoot day where it will be put towards you balance.

4. What if I need to cancel the shoot?
Canceling and rescheduling are two different things. If you want to reschedule than see the previous FAQ for information regarding how that works. Canceling must be done 48 hours in advance. You will receive your deposit within a few days.

5. Will I get the $25 deposit back?
The $25 deposit is just insurance. You won’t get it back; it will just count towards your balance at the end of the shoot (say you have scheduled an hour long shoot…you already gave me half because of the deposit).

6. How far are you willing to travel?
I’m staying in California, specifically Southern California. I prefer to stay somewhat close but am willing to travel a little bit if it means getting an awesome location. My rates vary sometimes due to travel expenses. I appreciate also if a model can meet me halfway.
