Mootz Imaging

My name is John Mootz and I have been photographing for many years (too many...lol).  I'm looking to work with select models, stylists, makeup artist, and hair designers to create high quality images.  I shoot stock for iStock and am always looking for new talent.

Shoots and Model Releases: Unless you are hiring me (i.e. with cash), I'm going to require a model release for stock photography.  This applies to any shoot: TF*, colloboration, etc.  Please feel free to contact me about my rates (which are very reasonable).   If you are a new model and want help developing your portfolio, I’m more than willing to exchange time for a release…assuming you have a look or talent I can use for a current project.

I have a full studio downtown SLC that is two blocks south of the Gateway (map).


Things you need to know before we shoot:
1)  All models must sign a release.  No release, no pictures.  Any implied nudes will require a copy of your photo ID (the law requires me to maintain proof of age).

2)  If asked, I will normally supply the models/MUA a few images and a usage license from each shoot for portfolio use.  You can expect a few great images (2-3, maybe more); not a butt load of crap.  Please note that processing can take a few days to more then a week (depending on my schedule and workload).  Because images will be placed into a stock library, all portfolio images will have a small watermark.  I will only release images that have been processed and meet my “quality approval” – I do not release unedited photos, so don’t ask.

3)  Escorts are welcome (unless they are photographers - then I have to charge them a small fee, jk).  If the escorts are too loud or make a “scene,” I will ask you to send them home.

4)  If you are under the age of 18, a parent must be with you at the shoot.  The parent must also sign the release.
