I spent many years in the commercial design world as an art director before turning my attention to full time photography.
I am interested in working with talented models who can excel with a little direction. Having a dance or acting background is really a plus for me in a model.
Working with you will be an organic process. Sometimes my inspiration comes when I first see your portfolio on MM. If there is something unique about you I'll PM you. I might not have a specific concept at that moment but over the next few days it will come to me. Much of my work is grounded in faerie folklore and mythology. I often think that the model inspires the story. Other times I will say, "oh yes, here is my Pandora or Undine". We will discuss our theme prior to shooting so you will have time to explore and embrace your role. (See, acting is really helpful here.) I love models who can become the character they are portraying.
I will offer paid assignments only and I require model releases for all shoots.
So if you are a model, a MUA, or hair stylist please contact me via a message if you think you'd like to work with me. I am looking forward to talking with you and discussing how your talents might dovetail with my work.
A word about escorts. While I am shooting you, no escorts can be in the studio. Having a person standing around while I am working with you is a distraction to you and to me. I have tried it and it just doesn't work for me.
Being a woman I fully understand that you want to be safe. So do I. If you want to meet with me before the shoot (and I require a meeting if there is an escort involved) that is fine. But the day of the shoot it is just you and me, the MUA (if we are using one) and any assistants I have hired in the studio. Please talk to any models who have worked with me if you have concerns whatsoever. I am certain they will allay any fears you might have.
Please don't leave me a drive-by FR. PM me and say hello.
One last thing, unfortunately some models don't show up for shoots and don't even bother to contact the photographer to let them know they can't make it. Please don't be one of those people. All it takes is a phone call the day before or even the morning of and we can reschedule if necessary. If you don't call or show up, don't bother to contact me again.
