---Bio---
I have been immersed in photography for over a decade with a real love for nature/'scape and flower photos. My portraiture work came later - it's a work in progress. I believe that due to my background being nature and landscape, I try to work the environment and backgrounds into the pictures quite a lot.
I am a 40 year old married mother of two amazing sons, 12 and 14. I live in West Columbia, South Carolina. I am in the process of setting up a home studio and learning lighting techniques - I am a work in progress! I enjoy shooting on location mostly, and really love trash the dress or interesting themes and ideas. I do headshots and such, but that's not really my "joy". Please have some interesting ideas when you come to me!

---Interests---
I am interested in most types of portraiture from classic and glamour/fashion shots to sexy/boudoir and retro pin-up, and I dabble in artistic nude and implied nude (ONLY female nudes).
I love venturing into the alternative scene such as goth/glam/punk. I would love to hear your ideas for innovative, creative and wild shoots! The crazier the better, let's take some risks! You can find anyone to do your normal, pretty, standard shoots....come to me for something unique!

---Information---
I enjoy working with both new models as well as more experienced models,
but I do not pay models to work with me. In most cases, I cannot provide gas money - if it's not worth the gas money to come see me, then you should probably look for another photographer. There are some people I do work for that WILL pay expenses though so if you need it, it doesn't hurt to ask. Worse that happens is I say no!
I expect you to be on time, or call me if you are going to be a little late. If you can't attend the shoot (for a good reason) please let me know ahead of time!
There are some shoots that I will ask for a modest payment, if the shoot will not benefit my portfolio, if it's for headshots/normal shots, etc for your portfolio (boring!), or anything to do with pageants. The shoot should be beneficial for BOTH our portfolios, and in that case I will do TFCD!
I do not reschedule shoots for flakers. I am an understanding person, but no one likes a flaker! There is no need to get that reputation when a quick phone call, text or even an email before the shoot will keep us all informed. FYI in case you aren't sure, a flaker is someone that reserves a time for a shoot and then doesn't show up and never communicates that they aren't coming. That wastes my time, and sometimes my money and gas for my car! It's been so bad I've gone out of town and had every model flake that weekend, no fun!
I am available in the Columbia-Midlands area of South Carolina, though travel to other areas of South Carolina can be arranged. I sometimes find myself in Myrtle Beach or Charleston throughout the year, and Charlotte NC is only an hour and a half from me.
I continue to build my portfolio and in trade will help you build yours.

Projects and Ideas---
1. Unique Bridal Photos. I sometimes pick up wedding dresses at thrift stores, but if you have access to a bridal gown I would like some very interesting and unique poses with wedding dresses. Maybe even sexy, like this:

2. Trash the Dress. This can be wedding dresses, bridesmaid's dresses, some old formal or prom dress you have in the closet! I also regularly pick up dresses at the thrift store just for this purpose.
3. I want to do a fashion/glamour series with the theme of the seasons. This is basically Mother Nature in the seasons I want personified. I have an idea of what I want the hair and makeup to look like so if you're interested let me know.
a. "Summer Nymph" *****NEED
Seeking someone, tanned a plus, bikini, bright sunny makeup. Lots of green leaves, possibly a sunflower and other summer flowers.

c. "Spring Nymph" ****NEED
Seeking a blonde or brunette who will allow us to tease her hair. Green or yellow, spring clothing style. Birds nest and bird, budding twigs, etc in the hair. Spring colored makeup. I definitely want to do the teased hair with this, very crazy messy.

NOTE: just because one of the nymphs is taken doesn't mean I won't do multiples. I am especially interested in doing another winter with a different idea.
4. I am always looking to develop my pin-up photography both on location and in the studio. I would recommend studying pin-up poses and styles before coming to a pin-up inspired shoot, as it is very difficult at times to try and help a new model learn the 'right' poses, because pin-up posing is very definitive and must be practiced.
5. NUDE shoot. Need thigh-highs and heels, I would not be opposed to just being topless for this either. Color doesn't matter as it will be shot in black and white against a black backdrop. Want someone that will experiment with posing. Dancer a plus. Someone with a lot of charisma and knows how to move. I want to experiment with lighting with this.
6. Urban fairy

Thinking of a dark urban fairy, torn stockings, ratty tattered wings, combat boots...etc.
7. Gypsy inspired shoot, think classic gypsy - flowing skirt in bright colors, scarves, poet's type blouse, lots of jewelry and rings - candles, and perhaps reading tarot cards or someone's palm. Maybe a bonfire outside.

9. NUDE/Partial Nude Shoot. I want to do something at the river when it's warm (or at the beach/lake) with the model in something thin and white. I want that clingy see through look. Like a water nymph rising from the waters. Sexy, sultry.
10. Vintage anything. If you've got a vintage costume, clothing, anything... I'd love to shoot it.
11. A "let's see what we can find in a thrift store for $20" and then shoot in what we've bought either in the store, or somewhere else. I've also considered doing this with 2 models... giving each the cash and a time limit, then shooting both at the end!
