Looking for others in the industry in my area - particularly (model) photographers, makeup artists, hair stylists and photo stylists.
I am disabled, but I am not mobility-impaired. I am working to change the stereotype that disabled people are not beautiful, sexy, or able to work in modeling, acting or whatever aspect of the industry they desire to be in. I try and focus on what I CAN do, not what I can't.
I was in a motorcycle accident right after I turned twenty. I lost part of my vision, had a stroke, cardiac arrest and suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. Since then I have had the right side of my face rebuilt with metal, plastic and bone cement. I'm not symmetrical, I'm not tall and thin, or young and flawless. But I'm happy, hard-working, dedicated, and professional.
I have enjoyed working both in front of and behind the camera in Florida, New York City and Hollywood/Los Angeles.
My desire now is to continue to work as a model in the Netherlands, and to be one of the few examples of how dreams, though they may seem impossible to achieve, can be accomplished, and the greatest odds - overcome.
And yes, it does say that I will not shoot nudes - but if there was a good credit involved (FHM, Maxim-style, that sort of thing) I would consider it. Hell, at my age it would be an honor!
Although I am still an American citizen, I have my own company here, so can do paid jobs in the EU - and will consider TFP. I know the industry is very different here than what I have experienced back in the US and I want to learn all I can!
