About me
While primarily an art photographer, I take an increasing amount of commercial assignments. Rather than muddle my art port with commercial references, I thought to separate the two.
The purpose of this port listing is to network with commercial clients and actors/models in need of portfolio development, and to give the above somewhere to see selected commercial pieces as the main focus rather than having to dig for them.
I am an experienced professional photographer. I've had the pleasure to work as a pro photojournalist in music and sports and to see my art hung in several galleries. In 2008 I had gallery shows in six months out of the year, and in 2009 I've been invited to show in a number of new locations.
As a commercial photographer I am creative and flexible. I'm happy to bring my own ideas to the table or to work exclusively under a client or model's direction. I know of lots of diverse and beautiful locations. I own a gorgeous full-service photography studio in Southern California which is designed to field model or product photography. I also have a portable studio setup which can be taken to a client's location, but I prefer to work in the studio or on an actual location rather than an improvised studio.
I do not take ANY tfp for commercial assignments.
Currently I'm offering the following deal to new models:
Cover the normal rental fee on my studio ($55/hr) so I'm not turning down business to shoot you, and I'll shoot your images free. As many looks as you can fit into the time you reserve. Studio has five permanent sets, temporary sets, smaller backdrops and "flats", and white and black seamless walls, so a single session there can launch a dynamic and diverse portfolio. Deal includes two edited images (of your choice) of each look. I recommend a 2-3 hour session.
