I graduated in 2002 with a major in photography, but have been working as a fashion designer ever since.
Gypsy Love Fashions started by accident in 2002 when Gypsy a self taught seamstress majoring in photography turned her photography into wearable art. Using a 19th century photographic printing process known as Gum bichromate printing, Gypsy turned photographs of Ireland into 4” x 6” tapestries. However as her thesis project got closer to being due she became unsatisfied with her work and cut the fabric up. She turned her tapestries into wearable garments. Realizing that this process was not exactly the safest, she turned to screen-printing her photographs and making textiles. During the showing of her work she was picked up to do fashion shows and from there started using many mediums in her fashion which included screen-printing, photo transfers, painting, drawing, embroidering, and knitting. Sometimes this is the main focus of the work, other times just the details. Every piece is one of a kind and never duplicated. She loves to work in themes creating 3 to 7 pieces per theme. She also makes custom made pieces as well, working with the customer to create a piece that is there concept, but her vision of that concept. Her work is a fusion of art and fashion.
I am looking for girls that want to model my clothing, and build their portfolio. (TFCD only at this time.) I am a starving artist!!
I am willing to lend clothing out to professionals with great references.( i charge a refundable 30 holding fee. In case anything is lost or damaged!)
i do a lot of my own shooting, but would love to collaborate with anyone!!!!
