*!*!*
I am still on the road. Really. And I don't plan on being back in Montreal before, er, the end of 2012. Maybe. So if you'd like to work with me, you can drop me a line, and I'll let you know when I'm back in town. If it ever happens

I once asked a photographer what I needed to be a good model. They told me that the main thing you need is fun. A good model, they said, can't be in that world for the money only, they need to do it because they love it. If you're not having fun, the photo sees it, no matter how good you are at posing. I also think a model should also have a personality, so much that it shows in the photography and somewhat changes it for the better. There is something special in someone's smile - mine for example - that makes people think "this is fake" and "this is real" and changes the way they interact with you. And I think that, without that, the photo is going to be somewhat soul-less.

I like modeling.
I like modeling because I get to participate in the creation of art, not only as an artist but also as part of the piece of art itself. It goes beyhond the whole "I am pretty" game and if a picture showing an "ugly" part of me creates an amazing result, I am definitely going to be as satisfied as if it made me look gorgeous. I don't care about if I look good, I prefer caring about the art the photographer and I make. I like working hard and long on the same one pose to make it perfect, or to try a million different ideas until everyone is happy with the result.
I also truly belive in being honest to myself. This is why I do not shave (nope, nowhere) and also why I'm so hopeless at make-up (I think the appropritate term here would be "natural model"). That doesn't mean I'm not up for painting my face, just that if that's a requirement it'll need some practice on my side (but if it's worth it, I'll be happy to try).
I would be interested (a lot, a lot) in working with photographers with crazy unusual ideas. If you want to shoot things related to circus, want to explore abandonned buildings, get me to wear some unsual costume or if you just want to work with colours/shapes/light in usual ways, I'm there for you. I still would be pretty interested in moods and atmospheric images though and if that's what you're into don't be afraid to ask (you will definitely find some of that in my port). I am also very interested in body painting.
