Nick Dragun Fine Art

I am a fine art figurative artist, and college professor with my Master of Fine Arts degree.  I am looking for dynamic art models who will not only pose but will also welcome being an active part of the creative process.  I see the figure as a profound challenge to the artist; it is the highest form of expression we can undertake.  I am looking for models with a creative sense- who will challenge themselves physically and aesthetically, and in the process, challenge me. 

I focus on the nude human form, portraying a sense of psychological turmoil and the beauty of the human body.  Looking for female and male models.  Especially looking for models that may want to consistently appear in my drawings to give them a more cohesive, structured appearance.  I am particularly open to collaborating with you to create unique drawings.  Ultimately, we are working together to make unique art.  If you work with me, you are likely to end up in a show somewhere in the country.  I have shown in 14 different states, including Detroit's Dirty Show in 2010 and 2011.

I work between two studios.  My Grand Rapids studio is near downtown, very close to an expressway exit.  I work there weekdays during the school year.  My Ann Arbor studio is behind my home, 15 miles south of town; this is where I work on the weekends and throughout the summer. 

I often trade modeling time for drawings you may keep, as this allows us each practice in the process of figure drawing and gives you a genuine work of art in which you participated in (think of it as time for prints).  These can be done in whatever clothing, or lack there of you wish.  If we work well together we can work on more involved projects.  Should you enjoy modeling and I find you a model whom I'll want to work with long-term, I do pay.

I am very professional, a family man, and, though demanding of hard work to get amazing imagery, am easy to work with.  I have been showing my work around Ann Arbor and across the country.  I can provide outstanding references from models on Mayhem and beyond.  You will be amazed with the work we produce, and will forever be captured as true artwork...
