Photographers in New York know how frustrating finding a shooting location in Manhattan can be. Moments after you're all set-up and ready to shoot, you get rushed away by a park ranger, security guard or police officer, who won't let you shoot there without a permit. Plus the weather in NYC often sucks! Well I have a quick, simple & inexpensive solution. I own a new company called "Cloth Colour", (
www.clothcolour.com) which makes hip, (non-traditional) canvas backdrops that look nothing like the one in your 6th grade photo.

All images above photographed by myself: ("EDEN") for GeoArt Jewelry. The images in the above series as well as all other images in this profile were captured with Cloth Colour backdrops.

All the images above where shot ("outdoors"), in the parking lot of a oil & lube garage. We only used sunlight, a gold reflector and an on-camera flash. No special studio equipment was necessary.

The next two images below are what most photographers imagine when they consider using canvas backdrops. The colors aren't flattering & there is too much backdrop being used, (both on wall & floor); and this studio lighting produces an overly lit, dry, flat and boring image. The end result looks like something out of a cheesy, sci-fi, comedy sketch. Photographers don't want images which seem to ask the question: "Guess which planet I'm on?".
