Photography is meditation for me, my main focus recently has been street photography, editorial and documentary work, but now I am looking to explore more studio work such as portaiture, glamour (Vogueish), fashion, possibly some tastful erotic (think Craig Morey & Andrew Blake) though that's near the bottom of my list. I also want to get some Suicide Girl and Maxim style images in my portfolio as well, just to show that I can do them.(update* I just saw this Maxim spread last month that I want to duplicate, its fkin sick, just have to find the models) BUT I NEED MODELS WHO ARE WILLING TO TEACH ME A LITTLE BIT, as I have no experience at this!
My main focus is on expressing the idea, not the sophistication of the image, I shoot old-school with focus on composition, form, line, etc. I'm not a Photo-Illustrator like many on Mayhem. I shoot digital, 35mm film, and will be using medium format film exclusively for my fine art prints. Generally speaking, unless I'm test shooting, I am shooting concepts and ideas that are meant for gallery viewing, not online perusing, though I will take the time to give you something different for your port if you've taken the time to explore some ideas with me.
I do paid assignments such as
Headshots ($250 (2hrs) basic 3-changes/10-20 images on CD/ 2 retouched w. 2 8x10 prints)
Catwalk and events, etc. (starting around $75hr for in/out photojournalistic, to $150 hr corporate)
I also do TFCD/TFP or whatever other acronyms means "I shoot for free-you pose for free-and we share the results", so feel free to contact me with your own projects as well. Artistic expression is an ongoing learning experience that has to be constantly cultivated even when it is not profitable.
**and without a doubt if you are a model or a stylist and I have sent you a friend request, I have an idea that I want to work with you on or I want to help you shoot whatever your next idea happens to be, that is why I almost always only friend people within my workable area
**oh and also please note that none of the images displayed here have been edited, I use this site to attract models, not as an art gallery, so take that into account when looking at my port...I should also mention that I am on the lookout for a good touch up specialist, I have neither the time or the patience to seriously edit anything that is not commercial nor going to be hung in a gallery...

2009- Always in need of models for two ongoing projects:
(part 1 completed(Boy/Girl: Perceptual Prisoners)- still brainstorming pt2)Project 1 is a project dealing with ideological contradictions, and judgements. Basically the shots will involve scenes intended to evoke an emotional response from the viewer, and then upon examination offer an entirely different perspective, forcing them to intentionally choose how they want to see the image.
(Ongoing)Project 2: will be a series of portraits of models with obviously attractive faces and/or features which will be diminished, reduced, altered, with makeup and or other materials in order to analyze how the raw elements of shape, form, light, and inner essence coalesce to create beauty.
(Just begun) Project 3 Superwoman: a woman's shape and form reimagined through the input of multiple model's each selecting the part of them they wish to donate towards the final image (nuff said)
