ARTIST'S STATEMENT:
I've been an artist for 29 years and a student of others art and
design for over 10. I can't recall ever reading any statement an
artist wrote that said anything worth while. Such statements seem
powerless in the expression of ones true passions. As for me, I'll
start writing artist statements as soon as authors start drawing their
novels.
PROJECTS:
I spend my time networking and creating relations as a free-lance
photographer and graphic designer. My styles and projects are done in
many formats and genres to match my clients liking. Although I have
majored in Photography and Graphic Design throughout my college education, my major projects are found within a wide variety of medias, styles, and forms.
Visual art consumes the most of my history as a designer. I am
creatively fluent in acrylic painting and I prefer mixed mediums of
paint, ink, wax, acidic wash, flame exposure, paper compositions, etc.
I am familiar with various tools and mediums.
Having learned both digital and analog photography methods, my photo interests and subjects include but are not limited to the following:
female aesthetics, nature, human life and urban culture, pin-up models, distressed architecture, and country-like desolation.
I am also well educated in exposure technique, photo compositing, digital make-up, and photo restoration.
I am capable of combining visual arts with my photography as well as
digital text. Over time I have produced countless amounts of posters,
flyers, corporate ID's, album designs, and advertisement concepts that
have pleased the clients they were created for. I have the ability to
define problems, assess both large-scale and smaller implications of a
project, and implement solutions.
