American Curves - Beach Babes Issue - Winter 2009
Hello, I'm Michelle Baker, professional swimwear, fitness, fashion and glamour model. I am originally from the suburbs of the windy city of Chicago. I relocated to Florida a few years ago because I have always loved the tropical climate, gorgeous weather and beautiful beaches! I am so glad that I have made Florida my home.
Before modeling I was a hair stylist in Chicago, Il and in Sarasota, Fl which was always a fun career. It really came naturally to me because my Mom was a stylist and we had a salon my entire life. Being with my Mom in our salon was my favorite place to be and I always had the best hair! I think glamour is just in my DNA! A friend of mine who is a photographer encouraged me to try modeling here in Florida because there is such a great market for swimwear and fitness.
When I am not modeling, what is most important to me is being with my family and friends.
To stay in shape I maintain a very healthy lifestyle and always try to keep a positive attitude. I am very into health and fitness. I am a runner (5K a day and races) and I also practice Hatha and Bikram Yoga. All of that hard work pays off by making me look and feel great!
I love modeling and my favorite place to be is definitely the beach! One of my favorite modeling jobs so far was shooting for Blue Sky Swimwear Catalog all week in Marco Island, Florida:)
In the last 2 years I have been published quite a few times thanks to all of the talented photographers I have had the opportunity to work with.
