After 32 years as a film photographer, I am transitioning to digital and the web. I am looking for models to use as samples for my website that is under development. I need "engagement couples", families, children, glamor and boudoir and even a few actor/model headshots.
Even while doing this I am also going back to film and working with large 8x10 and 4x5 view cameras using film in those sizes to re-create images in the style of Edward Weston, Richard Avedon and George Hurrell (40's Hollywood Glamour).
I have many print samples of previous work that I can scan from the film days, but the glamor and boudoir, I only have in-studio sample releases for those, so those take priority.
I believe in fair exchange for fair work, so don't think, if you pose for a head shot, you get an 30x40 on canvas lol.
I edit all my work. I may show you the edits so we can grow together, but you won't receive a copy of each one. I want this out there at the beginning so there are no misunderstandings.
I am available for paid assignments as well as TFP/CD as long as the images are something that can advance my portfolio and be different and interesting. I am willing to trade time for those who help me test equipment and/or ideas.
If interested, send any type of picture to let me know approximately what you look like and we can go from there. I will come to you and bring lights and backgrounds, or we can shoot environmentally. I have access to studios as well, but prefer to work on location.
My "normal" client is NOT a model, so I am used to directing poses so that should help those of you who are new.
I like to collaborate with others on their ideas that they bring to the table and to rise to challenging assignments, but I don't want to do all the work alone. Otherwise, that is not collaboration and you had just better hire me.
I do not collect friends. If you are listed here, it is because we have worked together, shot together or helped each other.
