To all MMers: THE TF* MANDATE
Sometimes we misunderstand when to charge, and when to do TF* (Time/Talent For Prints/Digitals). Here is the best way to understand how this process works:
MUAs: They ALWAYS deserve compensation in cash to some amount. They are expending physical materials that are expensive, on your body.
MODELS: If have more to offer than the photographer, then charge him/her. For instance, if the photographer is brand new, or has very amateurish photo's in her/his portfolio, and you are a lovely, exciting model with lot's to offer, charge him/her! On the other hand, you should offer photogs money if they can be considered pro/gifted/published and working photogs. Do not insult good photogs and ask for TF*. Always offer money (even if it's $100 cuz you're dead broke and need his/her help). It'll rock your port and be well worth the price. Sometimes there is a balance between the two levels of talent and a straight up TF* trade is in order. Remember to consider donations to the "tedious-editing fund"

PHOTOGRAPHER: If you have more to offer than the model (ie: a very large, unique and professional portfolio), then don't accept TF*. Charge em, even if it's just ~$100. But if you don't have that great of a port.... you know the drill: pay the models.
WIZARDS: If you're retouching a top model, then do it for free. If you need retouches and the wizard is really good, say you'll pay them to retouch.
The same drill goes for all other industry professionals/aspiring professionals!

I'm a creative, SIGNED model in the western Canada and USA area (BC, Alberta, ID, WA, CA, UT). My looks are said to be similar to James Dean, George Clooney and/or "Edward Cullen".
