My name is Alex Vogel. I'm a pencil and pen artist currently working out of Loveland, CO. My goals here are to generate interest in existing work, and to generate new comissions. My exposure to the modeling world is via a few friends who've done shoots on the side, so I'm hoping to learn, and if anybody has advice, by all means share.
I generally work in B/W and with females, but I am open to just about anything. I'm primarily interested in paid work, but I'm open to other arrangements, and possibly TF*. Just understand that a single drawing usually takes several days. However, working in a sketchy or live-model scenario, I would be more open to TF* especially if there is an intruiging concept, or I could learn or improve by it.
Normally, I work from reference photographs; this means that technically I never have to meet the subject of a drawing. However, there are certain qualities, quirks, and personal traits of a sitter that lend a whole other level of authenticity to an image that can only be discovered face to face. If nothing else I want to sit and talk to a subject, to see how they carry themselves, what angles work best, that sort of thing.
The primary purpose for this page is drawing and artwork; however, I've got a nice shiny new camera to play with, and I enjoy photography as a hobby. I've got a pretty decent grasp of photography as a skill, and I'm looking to get a little more experience! SO; outside of shooting reference material for artwork, I'd like to start shooting models as well. If you've got a creative idea or look you're going for, by all means run it by me. And if you're new to this, like me, I'm sure we could help eachothers portfolios out. I'm looking at this end of things as a hobby for now, so I'm mostly concerned with making appealing images; I can do retouching post production, and of course a CD or files or whatnot.
