Update:
I'm currently focused on paid shoots and editorial work, but if a TFP/TFCD offer wows me, then I might just give in
*I cannot express how sick I am of boring studio work. I'd like to shoot with innovative photographers that take the initiative to create ART-not a contrived idea. Contact me if you have any great ideas, a sense of artisitic vision and a wish to shoot together. Let me be your muse! (I am also looking for new & talented muas, hair stylists, and wardrobe stylists.)
"some kind of beast, at best"
My name is Erika Blair, and I am attempting to build a modeling portfolio with substantial quality, class, and a hint of tongue-in-cheek style. I have always adored the photography style of past eras-ranging from the 20's to 40's film noir to 50's cheesecake pin up-and the beautiful femme fatale quality that the models of those periods possessed. I am also a poet and artist...so I strongly relate to the creative process, and I take pride in every photo project that I am a part of.I am looking for Photographers and MUA/Stylists interested in TFC/TFP work. I would also like to start doing paid work. I have a rockabilly/vintage look, so I would prefer pin up or vintage style shoots. (but I am also very flexible when it comes to appearances and style-and I'm willing to experiment)
I am currently platinum blonde, and my hair is a few inches above shoulder length. I am quite young by most people's standards, but I have an ardent passion for art and beauty and I think I will be a strong asset to your portfolio.
Take Care,
Erika Blair
You can contact me either on here, or send me an email at Ladyortiger@Yahoo.com
(I also have a myspace page, so if you wish, look up Erika Blair and find me on that)
P.S.-I am NOT interested in nudes or anything profane, so please do not waste my time if that is your type of thing.
Some concepts I'd like to try:
-Some David LaChapelle type images
-Gritty 35mm b&w film...It's always had a raw, realistic appeal to me
-Cinema stills/story lines
-40's film noir
-Classic 40's Hollywood glamour..i.e. b&w, soft lighting
-High fashion Vampire/Goth themed....i.e. the h&m catalog look a few years ago...(2007/'08?)
-Really fun/vibrant Nylon magazine type imagery...bright lipstick colors, etc.
-Something pulp fiction themed...Mia Wallace, anyone?
-Warhol themed...or Edie themed...like that Interview Magazine issue celebrating Warhol
-60's mod...Twiggy!
-Anything with polaroids...I adore them
-Circus themed
-20's speakeasy themed
-Recreate Marilyn's "The Last Sitting"
-A Clockwork Orange themed
-Recreate artist's work....Camille Rose Garcia, Angelique Houtkamp, Mark Ryden
