For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been involved in some artistic endeavor or another. I eventually followed my creative longing and went to school for advertising and design. After working in the advertising field for only a short time, I left to pursue other interests but always missed the creative outlet this field offered.
Fast forward a few years, I now find myself as a stay-at-home mom with three young boys, aka my models, and revisiting art in a whole new way using paper towel rolls and left over yogurt cups. Not something I would have foreseen years ago but fun all the same.










I got my first taste of face painting when I volunteered to face paint at our neighborhood block party. As I did my research and practiced on my boys before the big event, I was hooked from the get go. I have been painting ever since practicing on my kids, neighborhood kids, and whoever would sit still long enough for me to paint them. I even bought a practice head I call “Sally”. Sally sits still, never moves, and never complains. She is very patient with me and we have a great friendship. 
The more I learn about the field and different paints, the more I love it. This passion and interest has now expanded to include the fascinating art of henna. The beauty of such a natural and ancient art form is one I continue to learn and enjoy. One day, I may attempt air brushing, but for now, I am happy with my brushes, sponges and henna.
