Marceau Design, Music & Artistry was started by
Laurent Planeix who moved to America from France in 1997 with the goal and dream that many of us have, to execute his craft and make a successful name for him.
After spending years making a living for himself in New York City, Laurent decided the next big step for himself would be to move to Hollywood, California. Once in Hollywood, Laurent would travel back and fourth from Los Angeles to Asia working as an actor & model. Laurent spent years working his way into the industry and later started a product placement, event production and publicity company, Plan X.
Plan X specialized in putting the newest trends on Hollywood’s elite. Plan X placed product from leading companies such as Antik Denim, Astons, Von Dutch, Giantto, Hale Bob, and Bisou Bisou, and numerous others. On the event production side Laurent produced many celebrity and industry events including Christian Audigier’s Birthday Party where he met his current business partner Phil Viardo.
After years of working towards increasing the success of others lines Laurent Planeix decided it was time to turn his designs and idea’s into a line. This is when Marceau was created.
Marceau embodies the pinnacle in modern trend design and French flair and was debuted in 2006 at an all studded Hollywood Event attended by numerous celebrities, industry professionals, and the media. Kim Kardashian was featured walking the runway in numerous looks designed by Laurent.
Soon after the success of Marceau he ventured into a new market of apparel, Swimwear. Laurent teamed up with his agencies client, Caroline D’Amore to Los Angeles a premium swimwear line, D’Amore By Marceau. Which debuted in Miami, was apart of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and featured line of many runway shows. D’Amore By Marceau has been featured on Hollywood’s “It Girls” including Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Brooke Burke, Adrianne Curry, Cheryl Burke, amongst numerous others. D’Amore By Marceau has been featured in print and television.
Shortly following D’Amore By Marceau Laurent created his latest line, MDMA: Marceau Design Music & Artistry. MDMA is a fully faceted line incorporating Denim, Tee’s, Leggings, and Swimwear.
