I've been taking pictures for about 10 years, and have recently begun to move into studio work. 

I believe that what makes any picture a good picture is if it speaks to us in some way.  Pictures of people of whatever kind need to give us some view into someone's heart and soul. 

My goal is to create images that evoke a mood, cast a spell, and allow us to see both ourselves and others in a new and uplifted way.  I like to try to find more than just a fresh angle, but to create a moment, and at best propel us for a moment into a more magical world.

Since I'm just starting out however, right now I'm emphasizing primarily technical skill, and practicing a lot of the basic 'classic' images.  I'm interested in practicing lots of different styles.  I certainly believe that photography should serve all who are a part of creating it, so I'm very interested in doing technically proficient images that provide either a model or a client with the kind of imagery they want.  In other words, if you have style of shot you'd like to do, I'd be up for making it happen.

I find that my own creativity gets going as I get to know someone, and begin to have a sense of the person behind the eyes.
