Hello, and welcome to my Model Mayhem page.
James Strength award winning beauty and fashion photographer. James graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art and design, Denver, Colorado, with a degree in fine art and illustration. This he says attributes to his skills in composition and lighting. His passion for photography centers on his love of light and how it plays on the form of the human body.
Although graduating with a degree in fine art and illustration, James knew from an early age that his passion lay in photography. In 2008 he set illustration on the back burner to pursue his career as a photographer. He knew he had much to learn about the field but persevered. He spent countless hours learning and practicing his skills. James believes that self instruction has made him a better photographer than, if he had spent all of his time in a classroom.
In December of 2009 James met a young lady (photographer: Amy Walker) with whom he quickly fell in love with. Amy has given him the courage, confidence and inspiration that would lead him on a path to success. She praises his work and has given him more confidence in himself than anyone ever has.
December of 2012 James began building a team of hard working creative professionals. His team consists of Amy Walker: Photographer and lighting, Lindsey Smith-Chaney: Hair Stylist, Shleen Lyle: Makeup artist and Jocelyn Stevens: (one of their go to models). Uncertain as to how the team would work together their first shoot would soon prove their need for one another. James remembers how nervous he was that everyone would show up on time and If they could live up to his standards. He was blown away by their performance and artistic skills. The best thing of it all James says, was that they worked together as though they had worked as a team for years. They still have one more piece of the puzzle to find (wardrobe coordinator) but, time and persistence will be the key to finding the best and most creative person to fill that space.
“Thank you Amy for giving me the courage and confidence I have needed for so long in my life to make my dreams possible. I will always do my best to take care of and show how much I love you.”
“I would also like to thank everyone on my team for coming together and making all of this possible. You truly are the key to our success.”
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you,
