I first started modeling early this year. I had never modeled before. It looked so exciting, so many beautiful pictures on the profile pages!!! So I signed up and I started my journey... I was so so naive. I saw that most photographers had nudes or erotics on their profile pages. I thought thats what had to be done. I was very uncomfortable at first, but I did it because I wanted to fit in, to be accepted into a couple certain cliques of well known Cleveland and Akron photographers. I figured I had to do nudes and erotics to keep the shoot offers coming in. These Cleveland and Akron area photographers, mainly guys, but also a couple females, took advantage of my naivety and innocence. I became pretty popular pretty quick, and actually shot with several dozen photographers! I actually made girl of the year, girl of the month and some other "honors" !!! I was fitting in!!!!!!!. I was getting lots of attention from quite a few well known Cleveland and Akron photographers... I finally realized that these photographers are predators, preying on the new girls coming into this business, especially ones that have little or no self esteem.. When I first started my main goal was to help girls build there self-esteem by doing photoshoots and giving them beautiful pictures to make them feel good about themselves. One person can only do so much though...
Being an ex-model I see how photographers (Male and Female) will do whatever it takes to photograph an innocent girl naked;even further (at least in the Ohio market) most male photographers will try to get girls to bed. I can no longer do photography and go along condoning this sort of behavior. Even the most notable and well known Cleveland and Akron area photographers I have witnessed first hand pressure innocent girls into doing nudes,when they initally dont want to, after that then the pressurering into bed usually starts. Witnessing this happen first hand,I could no longer keep on doing photography and watching girls get their self-worth trampled on. On top of all this, these "photographers" insist on doing TF, they have no intention of ever paying the girl.. Some will promise you the moon..trips, contracts, etc...they have no intentions of any of that. oh sure, some will make you their girl of the year, girl of the month or whatever, but seriously, what is that when they prey and take advantage of you??? Once they finally bed you, they move on to their next conquest. I have been getting mass email of who these people are. I think it is unfair to list each one who gave me a hard time because other people may have not had the same experience. I am debating whether to post whom I slept with. Girls,you are beautiful. Each one of you are individuals and different thats what makes our world such a gorgeous place. you DO NOT need to take naked pictures to be more pretty. In the long run,all that does it make you hate yourself. YOU ABSOLUTELY DON'T NEED TO SLEEP WITH "PHOTOGRAPHERS" TO BOOST YOUR CAREER. At this point most people are rolling their eyes thinking "what does this chick know?" .
Unfortunately,I have been there and done that way too many times, with these well known Cleveland and Akron area "photographers". Even doing it just once is one too many times. As you may have noticed I put "photographers" in quotations. I gained an interest in photography, after that my fiance went and bought me my Nikon. I have had no training in this field at all. As you can see my pictures turned out alright. This goes for a TON of other people. Any person can buy a camera and call themself a photographer. By having the name and 'power' of being a photographer,they can tell girls to come over and get naked in there living rooms while they take pictures.. Think about that-If your neighbor went and bought a brand new top of the line Canon he could get girls going over his home twice a day to take their clothes off and have him take there picture. and then pressure them into a lot more...I mean how ridiculous does that sound?!
Bottom line to what I am saying..
I do not expect every girl to read this and quit modeling at all. What I am asking is,girls,without a doubt at some point you will get pressured to do nudes and to sleep with the photographer. And these are some of the well known Cleveland and Akron area photographers!!!!. These photographers know who they are...This will get you absolutely no where. None of you need pressured, or embarrassed or made to feel sluttish at a shoot or afterwards.. Before you allow yourself to give in to the pressure, seek out someone who can act as a visionary for you..best of all, follow your heart,it will NEVER steer you wrong. Otherwise, modeling will cease to be fun for you..and these predators will soon be having you feel like a slut, relationships will be destroyed, self esteem truly hits rock bottom. Trust me when i say been there, done that....
Girls, please seek out your visionary before this happens to you..and always, always, follow your heart....

The most important person to credit here is the love of my life and my other half Tim (1206359) He has helped me so much with this whole adventure and has taught me so much. I also want to thank everyone who said I was just a model and that I didnt have the skills to do photography. It was there negitiveness that motivated me to achieve what I have.
