As long as I can remember I've felt the necessity to express my individuality in a unique way. It didn’t matter if it were through appearance, music or art, I've always been busy shaping my own living work of art. At age 14 I started creating what would eventually be my on-stage persona “Venus on Drugs”, inspired by the music of my all time favorite band: The Velvet Underground.
With a love for a variety of styles, from Classical to Punk and from Rave to Pinup, I find it difficult to restrict myself to a specific genre, but I still think there is a certain constant element that is the core to the Venus on Drugs-style. It’s a style that is as sweet as it is sexual, as loving as it is confronting; it’s always at the extremes and nothing in between.
This is the world I create: a psychedelic world of a Venus on Drugs that makes you eat poisoned cupcakes till I’m sure you’ll Love and Hallucinate.
As a part of the Goth and Cyber subculture I have always been interested in the Arts.
Expressing my personality through my appearance is something in which I have been trained since an early age.
This individuality I is something I enjoy putting into modelling as well.
Even though my roots are in the alternative modelling scene, I've found it very interesting to apply my style to the more mainstream parts of modelling as well. With Venus on Drugs you'll get a versatile model that is still in no way a blank canvas. I have modelled for several years now, and have loads of experience in photoshoots in every possible genre and style as well as runway shows. To do so I've worked for several agencies and as a freelance model.
Next to that I am also an trained singer in both the classical and the rock scene. With my music I try to express sides of my creativity that cannot be put in pictures, and together they shape Venus on Drugs.
I do have an interesting wardrobe and some experience in applying make-up for photoshoots, but I'm not an expert.
I speak both Dutch and English fluently.
I have alot of time on my hands, and can't wait to work with you.
I currently only do TFP shoots if I think your work could be a really great contribution to my portfolio, but my rates are reasonable.
