About me
From the time I could French braid my Barbie’s hair ( which was when I was about 3 years old), I knew I wanted to be a hair designer. I was in love with hair and fashion and had to have a career which involved my passion for these things.
After High school, I found it wise to continue my education in hopes to one-day open a hair Salon. I attended a four year University in Los Angeles California where I obtained my bachelors degree in Communications and Business. My junior year I traveled a year abroad in Italy, studying such courses as Italian Fashion and History of the Renaissance. These experiences triggered my desire to pursue hair and fashion even more. After College, I went to Cosmetology school in Huntington Beach, California where I was educated in all faucets of the hair Industry as well as dabbeling in make up ( which I also love).
After graduation from school, I found a salon where I could start using my talents on others. I quickly found out that I was really good at what I did, and wanted to also pursue hair designing outside of the salon enviroment. Though I do still find it desirable to one day open a salon, I would love even more at this point in my life to get more into photo shoots.
Just this past year I was lucky enough to be trained by some of the worlds leading hair stylists at the “Vidal Sassoon Academy” in Santa Monica California. Although just recently started, I love working on photo shoot sets. It helps remind me of why I choose to be a hair stylist. Its my passion. I am looking to build up my portfolio more. I am willing to do any style of shoot. As long as the other people involved are as professional as I promise to be.
Because I also work in a salon, notice would be appreciated for full day shoots. I usually can arrange my schedule to be pretty flexible but do need a little time to get my schedule worked out. I am willing to travel pretty much anywhere in the Southern California area. I am always open to trying new things and tend to work very well with others.
I am a go with the flow kind of gal. Always thinking of new things to do with hair. Willing to do paid or barter work, depending on the shoot.
