I've worked as a photographer and retoucher for 3 years and recently moved to Melbourne and I'm now residing in Berwick.
I'm mainly interested in Fashion/Beauty so if you're a fashion designer or makeup artist or high grade model drop me a line and if I feel you're going to fun to work with I'll surely consider it. The worst I can do is say no! :D
I'm also happy to help those who are not good with retouching for a small fee.
What I think a model should be:
First of all, exceptionally beautiful, whether male or female you should be attractive. There is a fine line between odd beauty and ugly.
Creative, models should be artists, muses and hard workers, always aware of their bodies and faces.
Good skin, seriously, unless you are amazing in other respects, good skin is very important, no one wants to spend time on photo-shop fixing what shouldn't be a problem.
Expression, while I realise that 'model look' should always be in the bag, when every photo of your face in your portfolio looks the same, it doesn't come across as versatile.
Confidence, a shy model may as well be a domestic client, if you have a shell get rid of it. On this point I should say, while I don't often shoot nudes, I have to say I find it a turn off when 'models' say they wont do nudes, it implies a lack of confidence. If you don't love your self and your body, how can you expect anyone else to?
There seems to be a lot of dishonesty on this website, be honest, if something sucks, say nothing, or if asked, say it sucks, cos models shouldn't have to be babied.
Models do not contact me if:
you are overly sun tanned (darker completion is fine, but if you dont have healthy skin this probably is not the site for you anyway)
you have a double chin (I have nothing against larger models, but I'm not here to help girls with self-esteem issues)
you have excessive piercings or tattoos (minor ones are fine but I find them distracting and detract from beauty)
you want to dictate my processes (everyone would get copys of photos but if you're going to to try demanding CD's of unprocessed images you can pay me and I'd be happy to oblige)
you are not willing to contribute any ideas of your own (I like everyone involved to be involved)
