My name is Jeremy Shortt. I am a freelance photographer. I love photos of all kinds and have been shooting on and off since I was a child. I am a self taught and dedicated individual, passionate about my craft. I have become serious about the art form in 2008 while focusing on nature and naturally lit subjects. I prefer outdoor scenes, mostly due to not having a studio space at present, but more the love of the outdoors and the surrounding lighting provided for my subject.
My philosophy regarding photographing people is simple...
LIFE IS FUN! Do you really have the pictures to prove it?
Photo shoots are and should be FUN! If the interaction between photographer and subject is in a fun, and laid back atmosphere, that comfort level will translate into great pictures revealing the inner beauty and nature of the person.
I believe every photograph tells a story of it's own. There is beauty in everything, it's merely a matter of capturing that essence and moment in a photograph. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the finest, and most beautiful places and people, and am not hindered by the change of pace or styles.
