For most of my life I was an athlete, not an artist. I attended the University of Oregon on a track and field scholarship and eventually found photography halfway through college. Because of this, I specialize in creating Sports Portraits (or as I call them Sportraits).
My main focus for Model Mayhem is to find new talent to test new concepts and ideas with. The benefit is creating something that will help out both of our portfolio. Before taking on any new projects, I decide if it's going to be something that's mutually beneficial. If it's not, it's just going to be a waste of both of our time. I'm looking for people who are interested in collaborating and coming up with a concept together. Some of the best photos I've created were a collaborative process where the model or athlete gave suggestions during the shoot. That's the point of test shoots. Pushing the boundaries and seeing what you can create.
I've been shooting for a little more than three years and have worked on big projects with the University of Oregon's Athletic Department (Billboards, Posters, Banners, etc.) as well as worked with Adidas and Nike.
