Initially focusing on women’s wear, Ron’s desire to emulate his older brother’s sartorial style caused him to shift his focus to creating men’s wear instead. After several years working under the guidance of master pattern maker, the late Michael Pedalino, Ron was able to hone his skills mastering the areas of pattern making and garment construction, and eventually moved on to open his first design studio, Ron Wilch Custom Design in 1992, in Center City Philadelphia.
The mastermind behind the highly acclaimed fashion events, Paris In Philadelphia, Philadelphia Fashion Montage, and Philly Fashion Expo, founded to provide exposure for emerging design talent in Philadelphia, the Tri-State area, and beyond.
