About me
I'm an English artist/photographer living in Bath, UK.
I turn photographs into individual artworks - Gothic fairy tales, dances macabra, distant memories, otherness, otherworldliness, times gone by, death and decay are all preoccupations.
Along with portraits, I'm also fascinated by making photographs look aged and old, like they are from some bygone lost age.
My work is often based around sexual deviance, repressed female violence and explores a new extreme feminist perspective.
My influences include: Jan Saudek, China Hamilton, Oscar Wilde, Frida Kahlo & Angela Carter.
I only photograph special individuals. I want to try to capture more than a face - I want to capture their essence, express what makes them different and unique in the world. So along with my sincere thanks, I hope have done justice to my wonderful, giving friends who have all been photographed by me.
