Some TF for the right models and projects...
Primarily focused on implieds, delicate lace/sheer outfits, and artistic nudes around indoor locations, in studio and in nature. Fine art nude to moody "boudoir" feel with a focus on expression and emotion. I'm usually looking for moody, introspective looks. Typically includes a range of full length to headshots. I'm particularly interested in working with experienced and traveling fine art models, but I am also willing to help new models who want to explore this genre if you have a look I think will work for me.
Models I typically go for: Natural girl next door, freckles, able to emote and do soft natural looking expressions. Body types are less important than nice or interesting facial features, natural posing, and the ability to express yourself. Able to do shots that feel candid and not overly posed. Usually I know it when I see it - please don't be offended if I don't choose you for TF, you may be a great model just not what I'm looking for at this moment.
If I've commented on an image of yours, left a tag or a friend request, I'm probably up for working with you.
I try to create portraits with emotion, capturing private, intimate moments with a sensual side to them. I love highlighting shape and texture using dramatic lighting and shadow. I am laid back, fun, easy to shoot with, and I enjoy collaborating with artistic models. My major influences lately have been Jan Scholz and Ryan Muirhead.
I'm based out of Port Coquitlam and have a small home studio, but frequently shoot around the Lower Mainland. I prefer shooting natural light on location, but can also use studio lighting if the situation calls for it. I will also shoot film with experienced models.
I am able to provide accommodation to travelling models who want to stay in the TriCity areas (about 30min drive east of Vancouver). There is a guest room with your own bathroom, plus access to the rest of the house. I do have two young kids, but they are only with me every second week and are in school or other activities most of the time.
I don't take random friend requests - particularly from other photographers that I do not know personally, or models from out of town who aren't touring. Don't be offended - there just doesn't seem to be a point to adding friends here except for people I plan to work with.
