Makeup: Science + Art
some words of the wise... to make you wiser
- The face is a canvas and i'm a perfectionist.
I never give up until my vision is complete. Patience is a virtue - if you want your pictures to be perfect.
- Posing is knowing the human body - how the skin works with the bones, and how that all translates to the camera, compiled with the added extras of knowing where the light is coming from, and holding your muscles at a certain rigor.
- I was also a lighting designer, and worked at Black Rock Center, The Tivoli, Washington Ballet and many more. I did lighting for so many bands, ballets, dance troupes, operas, plays and shows that they blur together now. I was also the first female LD at Recher Theatre in Baltimore.
(In all, I assure you I know color and I know lighting).
Makeup isn't "just makeup." It's a science, and an art form.

-How I Do, Technically Speaking-
I work especially well with age progression/regression, gore, glamour, new styles, highlighting, theatre, tanning, body airbrushing and contouring. You should except me to work well with everything else. I listen to your ideas and run with them!
I recommend having a MUA there during the entire shoot. While you and the photographer are working, no one will probably notice a smudge, stray hair, sweat or shine (I will!).
I want you to look your best for your photos, and it's a blessing when the photogs find they have less photoshopping to do. :-D
I will work with you on rates - the economy is tough and we can work together to fix a more suitable rate. And, the more we work together the more benefits you get.
I also do hair, and sometimes will do it just to add to my portfolio.
* Will only TF brand new makeup and/or brushes matching the model during shoot.
* Will also TF new car... ;-)
