About Me

*UPDATE---My house, which I used for studio work, burned down New Year's Eve. All shoots must be on location until further notice.*

Hi! I'm Jimmie, and I am located in Friendswood.

I'm up-front, pretty laid back with a good sense of humor, and I like to have fun while shooting. I like to meet with potential models before a shoot if possible so we don't go into it "cold." It's much easier to relax if we both know what to expect. I have no problems with escorts, provided they do not create a distraction. If they become a distraction, one of two things will happen. Either they will find something away from the shoot with which to occupy themselves, or the shoot will end.

I love photography and take it very seriously. I consider myself an enthusiast committed to providing you with high-quality images you will be proud to show others.

If I am contacting you for the first time, it does not mean that I have a set plan, but I will have some ideas for concepts we can work on. We can iron out the details after we establish communication. I love collaboration, and I believe the best ideas come from people putting their heads together. I prefer email over MM, since I have ready access to it and can respond more easily. After we set a date for a shoot, I will need a telephone number. Email is not the way to resolve last minute hiccups (such as having to find another location due to the set location being too crowded, etc) that might occur the day of the shoot.

I prefer to take shots that are more on the artistic side, but I'm up for absolutely anything. Got a particular style/concept you've been dying to try? If so, send me a message. I would love to help you build your portfolio.

I always use a model release, and I am open to occasional TF. I will provide you with a CD with 3-5 images from the shoot, edited and ready for print and/or posting. I usually have the CD ready in a week or so. For those of you who want to snub your nose at 3-5 images, you should understand that is $300+ worth of photography (images plus session time) that you didn't have to pay for. Yes...models typically pay the photographers, not the other way around. On a similar note...true "paid assignment only" models do not have pictures from point and shoot cameras or cell phones in their portfolios. They also know how to pose their hands and feet. Simply being pretty does not a model make.

Photography is both a source of income and a hobby for me. That said, if I have a project that I really and truly want to do, I am willing to pay an EXPERIENCED model who is capable of providing the poses I want for the images. Specifically, I am referring to artistic poses, and not necessarily nudes (think: bodyscapes and ballet). Just as not all models are built for the runway, not everyone is capable of art-style modeling.

I think that's enough for one bio. Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask.
