About me
Hello everyone!
My name is Herm and I'm an up and coming photographer from San Francisco, California. Over the years I have been shooting a lot of fun street and club events until very recently. I have been shooting a lot of fashion shows such as the Black V, the Visage Fashion Show with Christopher Straub, JetLAG-2 and various private events at a designer loft. I still can't figure out how I entered this small San Francisco fashion scene where everyone knows each other. Could it be because of Facebook? I am even called to do some model shoots and now people are coming after me for jobs and projects.
There's so much to learn and I am learning so much about this world of San Francisco fashion. I still need to know more about photography too and about minimalist lighting (I'm into strobist.com) and being portable and quick to react to changes during a shoot. Some photographers tell me that heavy lighting gear takes too long to set up.
During the past few months, I have really enjoyed working with a lot of models and having a lot of fun at the same time, if it weren't for those who want to take advantage of me to do things for free. It looks like I am a fashion photographer right now.
