WBY Studio

I operate a creative commercial photography boutique in Champaign-Urbana Illinois – about half way between Chicago / St. Louis / due West of Indianapolis – each being 2 to 2 1/2 hours away.  Our studio is just at 1200 sft – with a large imaging room, are proficient in Photoshop and offer advanced editing and effects, and can print large images for you on site.  It isn’t the nightmare studio that turns out to be in a garage, abandoned warehouse, basement or God forbid creepy hotel room.  We are listed in the better business bureau, member of PPA and WPPI – about 3/4 of the way to certification as a Master of Photography.

Like so many others, my passion and what keeps the doors open are not yet aligned – as such I shoot everything from weddings, special events, college and pro sports, pets, maternity and yes – senior and family portraits.  My passion lies in nature photography and fine art images; but like you paying the lease, utilities and keeping investing in top of the line equipment requires compromise to balance everything out.  I do not however compromise on quality, integrity and ethics.

I have ambitions of a fine art publication and am about 3/4 the way there – if you want to be part of that creative experience and make your mark along with me – time will be designated on a first come basis - please give me a call if you are interested – tell me your creative idea and I will likely be up to the challenge!

Obviously the closer you are the more flexible I can be with you in establishing a schedule to shoot.  Most of my work is primarily at my studio in south east Urbana, but the possibility of some location work exists as well ... but only when it warms up again.

Notes
Escorts:
I don't mind and actually encourage escorts, but there are some rules on that.
  -Escorts must stay in the studio area at all times.
  -Escorts must supply a valid ID
  -Making your escort behave is your job. They get out of line and I will end the shoot and  send you home.

Creatives:
(1) I may decline a request to collaborate, but can quote custom rates.
(2) I may be willing to shoot in exchange for a full commercial release and a stock photography release.
(3) Most sessions produce 5 - 7 finished images.
(4) Retouching averages 2 - 4 weeks.
(5) I won't release CDs of the entire shoot, raw files, unretouched photos, or unwatermarked proofs.
(6) I can't provide files the day of the shoot.
(7) Altering of finished photographs is subject to moral rights provisions in the Copyright Act.
