I’ve been doing photography for the better part of my life. While I currently shoot almost entirely digital, I do shoot on film from time to time. More than anything photography is my form of artistic expression and my outlet for my emotions. I take it very seriously and I ask that the people I work with do the same.
I like working with creative people and doing interesting shoots. I do charge for services, but on a case by case basis. I am very picky about what I get involved in as I only have so much time to spare on my art, so please don’t get offended if I turn you down.
Whenever possible I will meet with the model(s) and anyone else on the project, for two reasons. I want to be sure we’re all on the same page, and I want to be sure we all like each other. On the rare occasion that I work with someone underage this also gives their parents or guardians a chance to meet me, something that I insist on in these cases. If you are underage and would like to work with me, or if you have a project with an underage model, message me and we’ll talk.
All my work is edited, and I do it all myself. I work with individual images until they look like what I saw in my mind’s eye when I shot them. Sometimes this means major changes in the image, but more often than not the image doesn’t look different from the original image, just better. I do avoid over manipulation, especially of the model, although if the image or context call for it, I’ll do it.
As far as locations go, I’m in California and work mainly out of the Fresno/Clovis area, but I’ll go pretty much anywhere in the Central Valley. I travel up to San Francisco and the Monterey Peninsula pretty regularly. I also go to Ashland, Oregon about twice a year.
