Hi there! I'm
JIM JURICA, Chicago's top-selling commercial stock photographer. No big ego here, just a guy that shoots a lot, posts the better images and hides the bad ones. I'm on a bit of a hiatus from shooting models until January, so I've taken most of my images out of my profile in the meantime.
Trade work: The "T" in TF* means trade, so I'll shoot whatever you need in exchange for whatever I need. You will receive edited copies of the best images emailed to you within 2-3 days of our shoot unless otherwise noted. The number of edits depends on the degree of editing required, but at least one best images from each look will be provided.
I do not give out CD's of unedited images. One GOOD image in your portfolio is worth more than a dozen BAD ones.
I need a signed COMMERCIAL MODEL RELEASE from every model I work with. Yes, I do this for a living and will add your images to my commercial portfolio unless we agree otherwise in advance. Yes, I will get you a copy if your image results in a tearsheet.
COMMERCIAL: The most important quality a model can have for this is the ability to smile, laugh, interact with props, act out a simple role and just be yourself in front of the camera. Age and ethnicity are not generally important unless I'm targeting a specific demographic. Commercial models need to have a clean, commercial look. Think: Target Ad. If you have excessive tattoos or body/facial mods that can't be covered up or removed, I probably can't use you.
I've sold over 160,000 images. I have so many television / book / magazine / newspaper /web / spam email publications and tearsheets it's humbling. This doesn't make me an awesome photographer. I just sell my work cheap. Here's a VERY partial list of places my images have appeared:
