The difference between a painter and a photographer lies in the fact that the former must build his own world within a given frame, the latter must capture in his own frame the real world. I lie in between the two: in front of my lens, the real world gets destructured to be rebuilt in the shape of my inner world.
That's the reason why I always try to create something more than a mere portrait whenever I take a photo: my aim is to communicate a story or an emotion through the piece of world I frame, using my technique as a means to tell what I feel. In doing so, I always try to create a microchosmos which is aesthetically pleasent, even when it comes to the darkest emotions and murkiest tales. Even though I'm quite past my goth days and am open to various different styles, my photography still retains some murky influences from, which tend to give a melancholic touch to what I do.
My tools are a Canon EOS 5D with 70-200 and 50mm 1,8 lenses, a tripod, Photoshop CS6 for minor retouches or particular effects and my own creativity, which is often inspired by music. I do the postproduction of my photos myself, usually quite quickly.
Beside my own concepts, I'm always open and glad to develop also those suggested by the people I work with.
I am able to travel in Northern Italy and Slovenia, but I require that long travels be refund;
I only work on a TfCD basis, since I cannot afford paying my models. I can refund long travels if I require the meeting, though.
I am also a model myself, subscribed as Mayhem #1465422
