In addition to various photo projects, I am producing three runway fashion shows for Fashion Week that you may be right for. Below is more information regarding each of the shows.
Two TFCD couture shows: For the third year in a row the Four Life Foundation is involved in New York City's September Fashion Week. This year, with support from Grey Goose flavored vodka and Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, we are producing two shows featuring two fabulous up and coming young designers and former School of the Art Institute of Chicago classmates. The first, on Friday, September 11, showcases the work of Project Runway Season 6 contestant Ra'mon-Lawrence Coleman. Meticulous, effortless, sophisticated and accessible, the ra'mon-lawrence label offers apparel for both men and women that embodies the innovated and versatile imagination of the award-winning designer. His 2010 Spring Collection is a narrative of a modern nomadic journey of self-discovery and carefree romance, inspired by the classic movie Blue Lagoon. Fluid chiffon, knit and cotton silhouettes juxtaposed against tailored wovens compliment patterns inspired by enlarged elements of botanicals and colors of a tropical island terrain.
On September 18, our second show features the work of Genart's "Fresh Faces" Moire Conroy, whose concept driven work was most recently seen this past February at the Academy Awards, in the Academy's "2009 Oscar Designer Challenge". Conroy and fellow designer and SAIC alum Wade Jensen launched Time Bandits in March, a conceptual accessories company that embodies layers, hand knit details, and found materials, similar and complimentary to Conroy's women's wear. Her Spring 2010 Collection is an expression of inspiration pulled from dance styles cultivated by funk, jazz and soul of the late 70's/early 80's. This is translated through the garments, jewelry, adornment and movement.
These two events are by invitation only and take place at Midtown's Touch nightclub from 7 to 10 pm, with the models walking at approximately 8:30 pm. Complimentary cocktails served from 7 to 8:30 pm, courtesy of Grey Goose flavored vodka and Piper-Heidsieck Champagne.
For the lingerie runway show, it is at Sky Studios, featuring sexy, risque avant-garde lingerie. Some of the outfits are sheer, see-through, so the models need to be comfortable with that. The pay is $500.
The soundtrack for all three events will be selected by New York City favorite, DJ Stadenco.
The Four Life Foundation is a New York Not-for-Profit Corporation, formed to use the arts to bring awareness of and funding to the needs of humanity in our global community. Our goal is to provide funding to assist those who are malnourished, homeless, or otherwise underprivileged due to unforeseen disasters both here in the United States and overseas. The Foundation uses the four elements art, food, fashion and music to benefit those who are less fortunate, holding dinners, fashion shows, musical events, and art exhibits throughout the New York City area. Remember, disasters don't discriminate; without support none of this could be possible.
