Alessandro Você, aka Bossa Nova from Oxygen channel's hit tv show, "Hair Battle Spectacular," is a master artist in all aspects of hair and makeup design. His passion for the art can be traced way back to the years of his youth, in the big city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Having grown up in warm Brazilian culture, Alessandro has always been inspired by love, music, art and more importantly, people. He wants to live each day connecting to people through his art and sharing his vision and fascination of life and natural beauty.
The word "você" in Portuguese means "you." Alessandro believes every person is beautiful in his or her own way but the media sets unrealistic standards for us that make us lose the pure beauty we are born with. He states, “My job is to find "você," to find "YOU!" It is so easy to be blinded in this world but I want to open your eyes to your flawless beauty and bring joy to your heart. My work is a reflection of my heart and soul and it brings me happiness to share it with as many people as I can.”
Through his years of training and advancement, Alessandro has gained a keen eye in everything from color design and cutting to runway hair and makeup techniques. He has become especially known for his knowledge in treating damaged hair and rejuvanting it back to it's natural stage through sessions of special cutting techniques and organic treatments that are tailored to each client's needs. Alessandro believes in natural beauty and uses advanced color techniques that are less damaging to the hair and give a sun-kissed beach effect rather than hours of processing in a salon. He works as a freelance celebrity hair and makeup artist for various salons, photo shoots and events. He also shares his inspiration and dream with many other aspiring artists through his personal seminars and blogs.
