Known in select social circles as "Rye" and/or Gnarfdeath, Ryan was made and raised in the Midwest. Growing up, he drew in school and got detention. Then he got detention for drawing in detention. After high school and all the detention, he still wanted to draw. So he made his way to the left coast and went to college in San Francisco.
