Hi I'm Jenny
when I was 18 I wanted to be a makeup artist and completed a Diploma in makeup artistry and special effects. After doing something completely different since then, I decided to pursue my dream and undertook additional professional training. I have since done a basic hairstyling course, airbrushing basics with Jenny Pulfer and a masters in airbrusing workshop with David Willis of Studio Vida (the matrix, superman returns).
I use High Definition makeup (airbrush and traditional), and received regular feedback on a flawless finnish, leaving little for retouch.
The MakeTrix is built around the concept that makeup can create or enhance beauty - defining the fine line between reality and illusion. I love to explore beyond what I was trained to do, afterall who created rules for makeup? By virtue of the title makeup ARTIST, I believe it should be individual, both a reflection of the artist and the canvass.
I have extended my artistic abilities to take the role of artistic director (including concept and styling) in a couple of shoots (eg - "The Wulanders" (a storey involving designs by George Wu). I am particular about every aspect of a shoot and see makeup as an important aspect to the success of marketing a whole image.
I take my outcome serious, but I have fun while I achieve it.
I may consider TFP if the concept, model and photographer are exceptional and it is fashion related (PLEASE not requests for TFP for swimwear or the like)
