I guess, technically, I was a semi-pro photographer, way back in my university days … I managed to earn my beer money then … but I was mostly clueless!
After so many years, I’m back at it again, with a vengeance! Books, videos, workshops, photo shoots ... meeting professional photographers, experienced models … I’m learning as fast as I can!
I’ve even taken over as the organizer of a photography meetup group, The Toronto Model Photographer … a group of over 100 photographers, models, MUAs, etc. We have studio/location shoots, on various themes throughout the year.
I'll be posting casting calls for our workshops, but as a female model, feel free to contact me directly, epecially, if you have a theme in mind. We'll try to fit you in, with 5-10 of the best budding photographers snapping away at you. You're guaranteed to come away with some excellent images.
My immediate goal is to build up my portfolio … with some excellent photos … of beautiful women … young or more mature … slim or voluptuous … fashionably dressed, in jeans and tees, implied nude or lingerie, costumes … in a studio or on location. Lot's of ideas for creative projects.
Fortunately, I no longer need photography, for my beer money … it’s now a labour of love. I want to create photos of beauty, as I see it … and to capture the inner beauty, not just the outside. I hope, in time, to see my photos published! I can dream, can’t I?
I joined MM because it’s the best place to show off my work and get feedback from people who can appreciate it, with a critical eye. All comments are welcomed … be honest, that’s the best way to improve … and a pat on the back is always good, as encouragement that I’m on the right track.
