Summary
The Live Model Books project was started with the goal of providing a high quality figure reference for artists. The idea is to provide a clean, clear, high-resolution photo that shows what the model actually looks like in the studio at the moment the picture is taken with very little interpretation—no glitz, minimal makeup, and simple lighting. As a result, I hope to show the natural beauty of the human form as expressed through the poses that shape it and the light that reveals it; unencumbered by over styling and tricks of glamor photography.
Models:
I respect the creativity and talent of the models we work with; everyone brings something unique to the studio. One of the best parts of this project is getting to meet a variety of interesting people. I value those relationships and always strive for a relaxed and professional shoot in which everyone leaves happy, paid

, and eager to work together again.
I am looking for
reliable people who are completely comfortable posing for full nudes. A shoot would include poses similar to any of the photos in my portfolio. Every pose is photographed in rotation. As a result, models must be able to hold a pose perfectly still on a platform that starts and stops for about 3 minutes. Also, some poses can be a bit revealing in rotation and models should be comfortable with that. It's helpful, though not required, if you have an interest in art and are athletic. If you would like to discuss a shoot, please click the Send Message button at the top of the page.
One final note:
If you are not
certain you can show up
on time when scheduled for a shoot, please do not contact me. Even if this is a hobby for you, common courtesy and a high degree of professionalism is appreciated. Thank you!

Review of one of my books:
The second installment of Live Model Books, entitled Art Models 2 takes the guesswork out of lighting the human form in multiple situations. The many poses allows one to choose any combination of limbs, torsos, heads, hands, and feet, to create any pose not presented in the book or CD. I especially appreciate the ethnic diversity of the chosen models that allows greater versatility in developing skin tones both in light and shade. A superb addition to any artist's library.
