Summary
We photograph primarily artistic nudes for publication in reference books for artists (with over 16,000 copies sold). The goal of the project is to give artists a clear, high resolution reference that helps them create great figurative art. Every pose is photographed in rotation—see the "Discus Thrower" in our portfolio.

The second installment of Live Model Books by the Johnsons, entitled Art Models 2 takes the guesswork out of lighting the human form in multiple situations. The many poses allows one to choose any combination of limbs, torsos, heads, hands, and feet, to create any pose not presented in the book or CD. I especially appreciate the ethnic diversity of the chosen models that allows greater versatility in developing skin tones both in light and shade. A superb addition to any artist's library.
