No it really looked threatening and we even got a couple of sprinkles when we met at 4pm but they stopped within a minute, more like a slight mist.
I checked the WIVB weather radar and it projected the rain was going to track south to below Lake Erie nearer to where you were. It looked like another band of showers where coming in way off at Windsor but they where hours away so I figured it wouldn't be until midnight when they would hit.
Thank God for live Doppler radar with loops when it comes to event planing.
It actually got sunny a couple of times and was warm enough for me to leave my coat in the van.

If it is pouring then we won't be shooting, check the meetup website to see if it is canceled although with Vince being called into work and he is the one who updates that site it might not be updated in a timely matter.
I'm going to the site no matter what to greet anyone who shows up and it will be at the individual's discretion on to whether they want to risk themselves or their camera gear to be out in the weather.
If it is pouring and people show up I would say we should all just head to Taps in Niagara Falls (the corner or Queen and Valleyway) have a beer and call it a day.
If you want I can message you tomorrow about the odds of shooting, before I go to pick up the people I have to give rides to?

Right now CHCH is calling for a 30% chance of rain with the afternoon clearing so as of now it is still on although one car owner is whimpering out because he has a very expensive concept car built from scratch.
When I took meteorology in college we use to say that it would rain when POP is above 60% for a entire area so as of now I'm not worried about the weather and forecasting is a guessing game until you are fairly close to shoot time.

Update re: Oct 04th shoot:
This thing is taking on a life of its' own, we may have a few classic car enthusiasts join us with their rides. Think vintage for wardrobe if you want to use one of the cars as a backdrop.
In addition to this a jewelery distributor has plans to loan out her jewelery for props.
As such we have moved the start up time to 4pm to fit everything in.

Yes those stairs by the Printery are cool as are the ones at the base of the Brock's monument leading down to the parkway with the iron gates at the bottom.
I've shot my roommate Cindy down there lots of time for her portfolio.
