About me
Hello Model Mayhem!
I’m Mike Polce (pronounced "pole-chay") and I'm from San Francisco, CA.
By day, I'm an information developer, but talking about my day job will bore you. By night and at any given moment, I'm an aspiring photographer working towards developing a portfolio of concepts of grand or minuscule scale, that are based in fashion editorial and artistic portrayals of models. Model Mayhem would provide me the opportunity to network and establish working relationships with models, makeup artists, and other like-minded designers to realize my goals. I also like to make models laugh; why not have fun during a photoshoot?
In addition to my solo photography work, I currently provide photography assistance for Ryan Chua Photography (MM#1175783), active since May 2009.
Some facts about me:
- Diagnosed with Type one diabetes at age seven. Currently using an insulin pump and loving it!
- Background in hip-hop dance (bboying and popping).
- Italian and Filipino-mixed ethnic backgroud. To this day, no one has ever guessed my ethnic background correctly upon meeting me for the first time.
- Took pictures on and off throughout college, decided to become serious with photography after working with Ryan Chua Photography.
