I am trying to shoot a lot more and increase my database of models. If I have sent you a friend request, it's because I would really like to work with you.
Please note that my schedule for my real job is very erratic. I try to schedule models around it, but sometimes, I get called in at the last minute. I will give any model I schedule at least 48 hours notice, but please forgive me if I do have to reschedule.
Hello and thanks for taking a look at my portfolio. I hope you like what you see. I have been shooting seriously since about 2007. I have been shooting off and on since I was 14. This is not my real job, it's just the thing that keeps me sane. It's amazing how you can condense your world down to a 3" screen. I would shoot every day if I could, even if it was for an hour during the middle of the week.
As I said, this is my hobby, but I take it very seriously. I prefer to shoot TFP, but have been known to hire models depending on rates.
I have a small studio in my home which is where I like to shoot. It's pretty basic, but it gets the job done for me.
So if you are interested in shooting with me, I would love to talk to you about it. I do have some basic rules, though:
1.) You have to be flexible (personally mostly, but physically doesn't hurt
). Often times, my ADD will kick in and I will go off on some random tangent. I like to experiment.
2.) You have to be collaborative. I think of any shoot as a partnership, and I love to bounce ideas back and forth. If you have an idea, throw it out there.
3.) When you contact me to shoot, be prepared to answer a few questions. Mostly, what type of music, food, and drinks you like. I am in the hospitality business, so I have an unhealthy need to make sure all of my guests are happy!
4.) My sense of humor can be a little dry and obscure. I never mean to offend, but if I do, please speak up. I never take it personally.
5.) I am a giant nerd. Be prepared to do some kind of set that may involve superheroes, sci-fi, video games, or the like.
Escort Policy: Unlike a lot of photographers, I like escorts. I have a daughter (technically 2), and I put them in any models place. If they were going to a strangers house, especially to put themselves in such a vulnerable position as models do, then I would insist they had someone with them. Plus, while shooting is a lot of hard work, it should be a lot of fun, and you never know what kind of creative ideas another set of eyes might come up with. I do have some rules about escorts, though. My studio, my rules, and these are not negotiable.
1.) Escorts are welcome even in the studio while we are shooting so long as they stay quiet and don't interfere.
2.) Escorts should be prepared to be put to work. I shoot by myself a lot, so I sometimes need help with lights, backdrops, etc.
3.) I take my relationships with my models extremely seriously and I can provide references that state the fact that I act professionally. If I ask you to do something you are not comfortable with, speak up. If you are not comfortable, it will show up in the photos. However, only you can make that call. No escort input on that.
4.) If your escort is cute, tell her to be prepared to jump in.
(only if she wants to)
5.) If this is the first shoot for your escort, please let me know that in advance, just so I can be prepared for that.
Sorry for the ramblings (damn ADD!) I hope we can shoot together soon.
